FCC Youth Group FAQ

What characterizes FCC student ministries?

Gospel-Centered Teaching We value above all else the Word of God.  Central to our student ministries at FCC is a deliberate focus on sound, balanced biblical-theological teaching that relevantly addresses the unique phase of life your child finds himself or herself in.  The ultimate goal in all our teaching is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and help our students lead lives that bring glory to God.

Building Relationships.  We value relationships.  Building deep and lasting relationships with the students matters to us.  Our desire is to walk with your child in these years.  We also seek to facilitate events that promote and cultivate the building up of relationships amongst the students.

When does youth group meet?

Youth group meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 6:30-7:45pm during the months of September through May in the youth room (3rd floor).  We break from our regular scheduled meetings during the summer while offering activities throughout for the students.

What happens when youth group meets?

A typical meeting begins with a time for our students to hangout, play games, etc.  This is followed by a lesson that lasts anywhere from 25-30 minutes.  There is usually time left over for the students to resume hanging out together, play games, etc.

What about events?

The last Sunday of the month is typically reserved for a youth group event during the regular meetings from September through May.  The students will be given details about each event in advance.  Several planned activities will be offered throughout the summer.
